AACDS Approved for APEC Status by the Royal College of Nursing Australia

AACDS has been approved for RCNA APEC status approving AACDS as a recognised provider of Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) points. Nurses are required to achieve a minimum of 20 points per year in their field or specialty in order to maintain their registration status. As the field of cosmetic nursing is so unique there is limited opportunity to do this. However, during 2012 AACDS will be launching a continuing professional development program for nurses and therapists to access in order keep their practice and education current.

The professional development program will be in 'webinar' format as well as face to face study sessions. Available both through our website and via the RCNA website and will cover all aspects of professional development and portfolio building within the cosmetic medicine industry.

In conjunction with this AACDS is also introducing a Continuing Development Portfolio. A professional and smart way of demonstrating lifelong learning and industry updating, not just for nursing registration but also to impress any potential new employer!

We presently run live webinars with Nurses4Nurses , a nursing network based in Queensland and we will also be delivering as part of the Australian Nursing Federation CPD program.

AACDS NBN eLearning grant

AACDS has won a NBN (National Broadband Network) eLearning Commonwealth Government funding grant in December last year. The grant is to develop high definition broadband video-streaming and tele-presence and will take our online education services to the next level of technology in 2012, adding to our numerous awards and recognitions and consolidating AACDS as the leading registered training organisation in the cosmetic medicine and dermal therapy space in Australia.
